Description
Located on the waterfront of Kadıköy, Istanbul, the Coastal Safety Pilot Captain's Station Project was constructed under the main contracting responsibility of MTH Mimarlık Mühendislik, with architectural project consultancy and architectural design services provided by Fi Design Office. Architectural construction drawings and custom fabrication details were developed in accordance with the building's coastal conditions, technical requirements, and architectural character. The scope of services also included architectural site supervision, construction monitoring, and inspection of on-site works.
Within the project, custom anchorage and connection details were developed for the precast concrete façade elements. Technical solutions were prepared by evaluating the relationship between the façade panels and the structural system, installation conditions, and construction requirements. A dedicated steel structural design was also prepared for the tower located on the roof, ensuring coordination between architectural details and structural components. These services reflect the interdisciplinary coordination and technical detailing essential to architectural project consultancy in Istanbul.
In the pier area, which is directly exposed to marine conditions, custom connection components and attachment details were designed for the marine fender systems. Material selections, specialized construction elements, and installation details were also developed for the surrounding landscape. As part of architectural implementation consultancy in Kadıköy, particular attention was given to material specifications and connection solutions appropriate for the coastal environment.
Throughout the construction process, architectural support during implementation and on-site architectural monitoring were provided to ensure that the prepared details were accurately executed. Construction works were inspected in coordination with the main contractor and technical teams, while project-specific solutions were developed to address technical requirements arising on site. This approach supported the accurate translation of architectural design decisions into built construction.
Included in the architectural consultancy portfolio of Fi Design Office, the Kadıköy Coastal Safety Pilot Captain's Station represents a public infrastructure project combining coastal architecture, precast façade systems, specialized steel construction details, and on-site quality control. The project demonstrates an integrated approach to architectural design and construction coordination, reflecting the technical expertise also required in architectural building permit consultancy in Istanbul and building permit project consultancy in Kadıköy. Through detailed architectural documentation and continuous coordination during implementation, the project establishes a comprehensive reference for architectural design, technical consultancy, and construction supervision services.
