Located within Şeref Han, one of the most significant historic commercial buildings in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar district, this project was developed as a Şeref Han office interior design and fit-out project, aiming to create a contemporary workspace while preserving the building's original architectural identity. Respecting the historical character of the structure, the design reinterprets modern workplace requirements within an authentic architectural setting. Natural materials, refined detailing, and bespoke furniture bring together timeless aesthetics and everyday functionality.

Rather than simply creating a new office environment, the project was conceived as a comprehensive historic han office restoration and design project, focusing on the adaptive reuse of a culturally significant building. While the existing architectural fabric has been carefully preserved, every newly introduced design element has been thoughtfully integrated to complement the original character of the space, establishing a balanced dialogue between heritage and contemporary design.

Our interior architecture and fit-out services for historic buildings were carried out with a principle of minimum intervention. Existing walls, window openings, and original spatial proportions were preserved, while electrical and mechanical systems were upgraded to meet today's performance standards. This approach ensures that the building's architectural heritage remains intact while accommodating the technical requirements of a modern workplace.

Situated in one of the most prestigious commercial districts surrounding the Grand Bazaar, the project also stands out as a prestigious historic han office architectural project. All furniture was designed exclusively for this project. The executive desk, storage units, shelving systems, and cabinetry were produced as part of a historic building timber and steel office furniture application, combining natural oak finishes with finely crafted metal detailing. Dark oak surfaces, bespoke joinery, and minimalist forms establish a contemporary interior language that harmonizes with the building's historic atmosphere.
